Through our Annual Appeal we raise funds for our Samaritan grants programme which assists social work, health professionals and charitable agencies delivering frontline services to the poor of London and people coping with physical and mental ill health.
The grants help people in crisis; entering or leaving hospital; managing chronic ill health; dealing with the after effects of accident and trauma. It provides for immediate one-off essential items: clothing and toiletries for someone detained in hospital, bedding and furnishings to assist their return to the community, a fridge for medicines, a travel card to visit a terminally ill relative, food and clothing for those homeless and destitute and without recourse to other funds.
We receive more requests than can be met from existing resources. With your support, we can help even more Londoners. A small donation goes a long way and every penny received goes directly to those in need.
