Sundial Centre

As a special initiative, in partnership with Peabody and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the charity helped establish the award winning Sundial Centre in Bethnal Green, a day care and resource centre for older people and their carers.

Opened in October 2000 the Sundial Centre is at the forefront of the provision of community based health and social care for older people. It provides extensive outreach into the local community and is a network hub for older people's services in Tower Hamlets.

The Centre provides a wide range of social and health care services and community activities in a purpose built facility. It is a unique environment offering space and resources to enable groups, specialist services and activities to flourish. These include day care, a drop in, healthy living activities, art and crafts, IT training, outings, cultural celebrations, intergenerational and reminiscence work. Centre users are encouraged to develop activities and a 'Men's Shed' craft and enterprise project is currently under development.

There is always something new at the Centre and you are welcome to contact the Sundial for news of the latest activities.
