Aims and objectives
To act as a catalyst through a programme of grant making to include:

Providing grants to agencies best placed to distribute one-off grants to people in need.

Projects seeking to introduce or develop activities, services and facilities to improve the lives of people limited by ill health, poverty and disability.

Special Interest Grants that will have a significant impact in an area of unmet need.
To assist people with the greatest need. In particular adults and children who:

Have a physical or learning disability

Have a physical or mental health problem.

Have a limiting or debilitating long-term illness or condition.

Are unpaid carers for a sick, elderly or disabled person.

Have life chances limited by the effects of poverty
To improve our effectiveness and the impact of our grant making by targeting resources to areas and communities in greatest need and to co-operate with others that share our aims.
To raise awareness of the needs of the poor of London through the experience of our grant making.
