Aims and objectives
'The Charity is established to relieve poverty, sickness, disability and infirmity among persons resident in the area bounded by the M25 London Orbital Motorway……by supporting and working with other charitable organisations……and by providing grants to assist individuals and organisations for the aforementioned purposes.'
Aims
- To improve the health and well being of people most in need
- To remove people from poverty
- To raise awareness of the needs of the sick and poor of London through the experience of our grant making
Area of benefit
- Greater London (within the M25 orbital motorway)
- The poorest areas of London as evidenced by recorded levels of deprivation.
Priorities
- Projects that will 'make a difference', acting as a catalyst for change
- Tackling poverty and improving the health of those most in need
- Working with other grant makers, charities, civic institutions and social policy makers that share our aims
- The London Living Wage is a London weighted minimum wage, which takes into account the higher living costs of London. The figure currently stands at £7.85 per hour; significantly above the National Minimum Wage. London Catalyst supports the London Living Wage.
